Here is the National Weather Service's data on how much rain is needed, in addition to "normal," that is needed to break the drought:

I have
high confidence that substantial rains will fall in the Central and South Low and High Plains starting on a widely scattered basis late Wednesday and lasting through Thursday the 29th.
I will have more details on the
amounts of rain expected tomorrow with the forecasts going from then to the end of May.
